· Only Adult Recreation Program of its kind in the area which provides recreational opportunities to over 100 adults in Middlesex County from Cromwell to Old Saybrook.
· Our program publication, The Leisure Link, is produced on a quarterly basis and offers a wide range of leisure opportunities promoting wellness, independence, friendships and fun.
· Leisure Programs are offered year-
· A wide variety of programs are offered that address not only the needs and interests on an individual basis but also according to similar interests, ages (21 +) and skill levels.
· The variety of programs are designed to teach and promote health and wellness,
good communication skills, safety, and self-
· Our programs create opportunities for more individualized guidance, support, and skill development during each program, all of which are crucial for physical wellness, personal growth and fulfillment.
· We take great pride in our ability to offer such a wide variety of programs and keep our fees low and affordable for all. No one is turned away due to inability to pay.
· Emphasis is placed on small-
· Our programs focus on individual choice, making decisions, and ownership of programs, which are designed based on feedback from consumers.
· We encourage the development of socialization and mutual friendship and support, not only within our leisure programs but also with members of their community.
· Continued experiences in these programs ensure that these friendships, community, and social networks are created and sustain themselves outside of the leisure program.
· Not to be overlooked, these leisure programs have the added benefit of providing much needed respite time necessary for both consumers themselves and their families.
