Empowering People with Disabilities to Realize their Dreams since 1955

In order to promote independent living MARC offers residential programs that are not only designed to support the individual needs of each person but recognize and value their preferences as well. Our goal is to help people live with comfort and dignity in community settings with whatever support they need. Respect, quality of life and choice all play significant roles in achieving this goal.
MARC manages its group homes with a focus of helping individuals establish themselves in their community. People who live in each home attend to its upkeep to the degree they are able with the support and assistance of staff available 24 hours a day. They enjoy typical life activities such as shopping, restaurants, planning vacations, cultivating friendships and fully participating in the community. Relationships are built based on choice and personal preference and promoted through special events, by being members of church congregations and other community connections such as local libraries, and local merchants. While many of the individuals have close family relationships the home settings themselves strive for a true family atmosphere that not only enhances quality of life but also promotes much needed understanding as well. The homes are all designed to be welcoming, fully accessible and reflect the personal tastes of the individuals that live in them.
Another significant focus in the homes is to the professional support services each person requires to lead safe and healthy lives. These include nursing, clinical behaviorist, dietary, physical therapy and speech therapy directed to the specific needs of the individual as identified in their Person Centered Plans. Along with staff support and assistance with activities of daily living and leisure activities MARC provides a well balanced, safe environment which encourages each person to dream and strive.
MARC’s Supported Living program makes possible even more opportunities for individual
choice and self-
