Annual Appeal 2019 - 2020

Thank you!

Your support allows us to fulfill our mission despite financial and funding challenges. By donating today, you will create brighter and more independent futures, and provide the comfort and stability that leads to happy and fulfilling lives.

P.S.
We're celebrating 65 years in 2020!

Please, consider increasing your gift by $65 in honor of our anniversary. With you on our side, so many more people will have the chance to realize their dreams.

“It’s important for me to have a job so I can make a living and make my own money.”

Alex not only saves for his future, but he also learns a variety of skills that will open up greater opportunities.

“MARC helps me learn so I can go home and cook on my own.”

Whether she’s working hard or having fun, Crystal has a busy week at MARC. She especially loves the cooking class.

Your generous gift helps empower Alex and Crystal and so many more.

From personal growth to gaining independence, there’s nothing more powerful than seeing people overcome their challenges.

For over 13 years at MARC Alicia has watched many people grow, including Joe. After seeing the difficulties he was experiencing she was happy to become a constant presence throughout his day. Joe now has his routine with a caring and familiar face.

“After all these years with me,
he has been doing great!”

With educational training, staff acquire skill sets for better serving people with I/DD. After learning sign language, Nastasja creates better experiences through clear communications at work, at home, and in the community.

“I’ve been teaching my brother, Louie, what I’ve learned.

We really get to talk now!”

Let’s keep empowering!

CT will begin its 4-stage re-opening on May 20th. The Commissioner of DDS believes the process must be slow to ensure the health and safety of the community we serve. Day programs are not part of the first phase, and in fact, the Governor recently issued an extension of 30 days to the no visitor policy for our residencies. While we are eager to return to normalcy, there are several concerns currently being addressed in our plan to re-open, including transportation, social distancing, sanitizing, and availability of PPE. We promise to keep you posted and will soon seek your input on our plan to return. Meanwhile, our staff is working hard to provide virtual services, in-home services for people who have immediate needs, and preparing the new building for the return of our programs.
