CT will begin its 4-stage re-opening on May 20th. The Commissioner of DDS believes the process must be slow to ensure the health and safety of the community we serve. Day programs are not part of the first phase, and in fact, the Governor recently issued an extension of 30 days to the no visitor policy for our residencies. While we are eager to return to normalcy, there are several concerns currently being addressed in our plan to re-open, including transportation, social distancing, sanitizing, and availability of PPE. We promise to keep you posted and will soon seek your input on our plan to return. Meanwhile, our staff is working hard to provide virtual services, in-home services for people who have immediate needs, and preparing the new building for the return of our programs.
