Transition
Preparing For The Future
Transition is a three-year service, ensuring a focused approach to employment. This comprehensive job readiness program provides individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to learn:
- Typical job etiquette,
- Social skills,
- Community experiences with volunteer opportunities and internships, career goal assessments,
- Team-building, and
- Goal planning.
At MARC Community Resources, we implement the Pre-Project SEARCH curriculum for individuals in this program to better prepare them for real-life experiences and job opportunities. While some individuals may choose not to participate in Project SEARCH, the curriculum offers skills that translate to all life and work experiences.
