COVID-19 Updates from MARC
Effective as of 7/21/20, anyone traveling to another state with high COVID-19 levels must quarantine for 14 days. We highly suggest reviewing this order and all of its details to keep everyone's safety out of risk. It can be viewed here.
Also, please check the state of CT's Travel Advisory for Visitors to Connecticut page that highlights any state considered high-level, and requirements expected of travelers.
As we begin the first phase of reopening our doors at MARC, we want to assure you that we are following all the rules and guidelines provided by the State of Connecticut and the Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC). We expect to be at 15% capacity by July 15th. We have shared our full reopening plan with families and guardians in a forum. Due to the magnitude of its entirety, the plan has been abbreviated & can be viewed here.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your case manager right away. We will be sharing updates with you throughout our phases and until we are at full capacity.
Effective as of May 14, 2020 all residential facilities for persons with intellectual disability, as defined in Connecticut General Statute Section 17a-231(1), and facilities operated by the Department of Developmental Services shall impose a second extension to the complete ban on all visitors to such facilities for a period of an additional THIRTY (30) DAYS commencing on the date of this extension order, unless terminated earlier by virtue of a future order. The purpose of this memo is to offer guidance to those providers that serve as representative payee for DDS supported individuals and therefore may be or have been in receipt of the Economic Impact Payment on behalf of the individuals they support. Read the entire letter here.
DDS has been working in collaboration with the Department of Public Health (DPH) and the Connecticut Hospital Association (CHA) to create a process that meets the needs of the individuals we support while providing the hospitals with the safeguards necessary to maintain the health and safety of their frontline staff and all the patients within the hospital. 3/18/20: Effective Thursday, March 19, 2020 MARC Community Resources' Day Services will be closed until further notice.
This is per the directive of the Department of Developmental Services.

we have decided to close day programs effective tomorrow Thursday, March 19, 2020.
